Catherina began dancing East Coast Swing in 2001, moved on to West Coast Swing, then she found Lindy Hop and fell in love. She is recognized for her creative, interpretive dance style and is always looking to incorporate new movement into her repertoire. You will often find her busting out by herself and with a partner.

Catherina focuses on natural movement and strong lead/follow connection in her classes. She hopes to inspire her students to create their own style and technique as well as become more connected to the music and dance partners.

She specializes in Lindy hop and Charleston while playing around with Modern dance in her spare time. She teaches all over Eugene and Corvallis, and taught at Come Rain Come Shine in Portland, OR in 2007/08. She has competed at regional and International events, either placing or making it to finals in most of them.

Catherina is thrilled to to be teaching and practicing regularly with her dance partner, Drew. He offers a
very dynamic style to the swing scene. Together they spread their love of swing through their joint venture eugeneswing.com and they have partnered with Blue Skies Big Band as the Blue Skies Dancers.
